Taxi in Jordan is quite cheap and easy to find. You can call a car by phone or through a mobile application, find it in the parking lot near large hotels, or catch it on the street. The latter is not recommended for tourists, as private drivers can extort money from a visitor. Proven tricks are used: threats to drop off in a deserted area or not open the trunk with a suitcase until the required amount is paid, assurances that the price was quoted per person, not per car.

All taxis in Jordan yellow color. White, the so-called service, work in the format of minibuses. The counter is carried only in Amman, and in other cities it is customary to negotiate a price and bargain. Please note that after midnight, the driver is not required to turn on the taximeter, and such a trip will cost twice as much. To drive to a neighboring city, the driver will need a special permit, which is paid by the passenger. Jordanians do not remember the names of the streets and orient themselves in the city by some iconic places, so the tourist will have to do the same.
